Annual salary of $60,000 - $70,000, depending on experience, PLUS  Healthy Commissions as a percentage of profit with no limit on earnings. (Historically our commissions for this position add $30K – $50K to annual earnings) AND an attractive Health Care Program

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear direction to team members and distribute workload to capitalize on individual and group strengths, while ensuring balanced exposure to work experience and development opportunities.
  • Ensure that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes, and ensure that Quality Standards are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain the construction schedule in conjunction with project team to meet milestones and completion dates.
  • Ensure that the quality of materials and workmanship meet or exceed standards identified in approval documents.
  • Achieve project schedule commitments within the financial targets.
  • Maintain and track billings, reports and projections, and implement trade awards and construction work within financial targets and constraints.
  • Set expected levels of documentation, standards for accounting issues, methodology of budget control, types of bids (fixed price, cost plus, unit price), etc.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.

Ideal candidate requirements:

  • Attention to detail, follow-up skills, professionalism and ability to work with leaders and employees of all levels in an organization.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.) – in addition, AutoCAD or other design software will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Great interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Ability to plan and prepare construction schedules and co-ordinate subcontractors.
  • Ability to make recommendations using sound, independent judgment.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills with the ability to think and act strategically.
  • Organized, a self-starter and motivated.
  • Independent and flexible.
  • Effective time management and project management skills.
  • The ability to read and understand blueprints, estimate job costs and prepare formal quotes.
  • We see hands on experience as a tradesman (Carpenter, Framer, Site Superintendent/ Site Supervisor) as a real asset.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Vehicle required

Experience:

  • Commercial Tenant Improvement experience
