Machine Operator

Our company is one of the leading cabinet manufacturers in Canada.    In response to the increasing demand of our products, we are hiring 2 machine operators (CNC and Edgebander) for our Afternoon Shift which runs Monday to Friday 4:00pm - 12:30am.

Responsibilities of the CNC Operator:

• Set up and run 3 axis Homeg CNC Machine
• Changes tools or parts if needed
• Makes minor adjustments to machine
• Clean up work area and department at end of shift
• Other duties as assigned

Experience Required for the CNC Operator:

• Must be able to follow safety and quality guidelines
  
• Diploma in CNC Programming and equivalent work experience
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Knowledge of wood species highly preferred
• Basic computer skills an asset
• Good command of the English language
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good organizational skills

Responsibility for the Edgebander Operator:

• Set up and load machine
• Changes tools or parts if needed
• Make adjustments to machine if needed
• Clean up work area and department when necessary
• Other duties as assigned

General Experience/Abilities Requirements:

• Must be able to follow safety and quality guidelines
• Edgebander operator experience or 2 years related industry experience
• Woodworking Technologist Diploma preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Knowledge of wood species
• Basic computer skills an asset
• Good command of the English language
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good organizational skills
