Located in Pickering ON, our company is a listed vendor at all major retailers in Canada and helps private label and branded manufacturers achieve success by managing the day-to-day details necessary to ensure that their products flow through a retailer’s entire supply chain. We are currently looking for a motivated and results orientated individual to join our dedicated sales account team.
Key Account Manager
Job Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will work closely with retailers and manufacturers to collectively build and maintain successful programs for the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) market in Canada.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Act as a representative of both our companyand our manufacturer partners in all interactions with their assigned retail accounts.
- Solicit new product listings and manage existing listing base to maximize sales and achieve annual sales targets.
- Prospect with new retail accounts to sell products from our existing supplier partners.
- Assist in the sourcing of new supplier partners based on the product requirements of their retail accounts.
- Act as a contact point for other our company's and employees who need assistance in dealing with retailer related issues.
- Maximize sales and maintain the positive reputation of our company in the retail community.
- Grow top lines sales through the acquisition of new product listings.
- Provide feedback to our supplier partners on sales and product performance on each of their retail accounts.
- Establish and maintain a regular sales call schedule for each account.
- Develop and execute plans to achieve sales targets established with the Director of Sales.
- Create and present category reviews with all retail accounts on a quarterly basis.
- Manage customer expectations on new items and transitions.
- Work with the Product Manager & Quality Manager on regulatory requirements per customer.
- Provide input to inventory control on forecasting demands for product launches and promotional activity.
- Prepare and participate in sales meetings with our company supplier partners.
- Work as an extension of the manufacturer for key accounts.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with large National/International retailers
- CPG experience would be beneficial.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in sales.
- G class driver’s license.
- College and/or university degree.
