Description

Are you a seasoned administrative/clerical professional looking to expand your skillset? The Clerk Typist is accountable to Morningstar Centre and Lake of the Woods District Hospital’s outpatient clinics (RAMM/MECCA) and supports the administrative function of the programs. If you are interested in gaining experience in your field and supporting integral health programs in the community, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent
• Post-secondary certificate in office administration an asset
• Must have Medical Terminology Certificate, or be willing to complete training
• Minimum 1-year work experience in Reception or Administrative Assistance; experience in the healthcare field an asset
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with the public both in person and by telephone
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Effective customer service skills
• Proficient in the use of computers and Windows-based software including (but not limited to) Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Policy Tech and internet
• Excellent keyboarding skills; minimum of 40 wpm
• Reliable attendance record
