Marketing Assistant (St.Laurent Centre)

The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative, creative and logistics support for the shopping centre’s marketing, communications and programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Event Coordination
Assist and implement special events under the direction of the Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Director. Organizing details for the successful execution of experiential elements of the marketing plan to create customer engagement in the shopping centre.

Coordination of Suppliers
Assist in overseeing production and artwork coordination to and from design companies for larger projects and where external providers are involved to ensure the latter are consistent with the company’s branding standards and are delivering product on time and within approved budget.

Website Updates
Assist in updating the centre website with event details, promotions and maps with the most current information and ensuring consistency with the shopping centre’s branding standards as well as accuracy of content and messaging.

Holiday Program
Collaborate with third party providers on the holiday program including Santa Photos, Charity Gift Wrap and Coat Check, and Sensitive Santa.

Social Media
Assist Marketing Coordinator with creating content, generating ideas and updating social media platforms as required.

Project Measurement
Track progress of and provide status reports for all marketing activities and projects to ensure timely delivery and/or addressing of deviations from the timeline, scope or budget.

Research
Conduct online research for product comparisons and supplier information to assist in business decision-making, as required. Monitors and reports on all research data available such as traffic counters, wi-fi analytics, website analytics and Cineplex data.

YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

  • College Diploma in Marketing or a related field or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Event coordination experience as asset
  • An understanding of branding, advertising, public relations, and promotions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
