Shipper / Receiver

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and detail-oriented Shipper / Receiver /
Packager to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for
accurately preparing, skidding, packaging, and processing finished millwork products for
shipments, and accurately receiving inventory. Your energetic approach will ensure
smooth warehouse operations, timely order fulfillment, and high levels of accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently load and unload shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks,
reach trucks, or forklifts while adhering to safety protocols.
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders or shipping
documents using manual methods, RF scanners and warehouse management
systems (WMS).
Pack products securely and accurately, ensuring proper labeling and
documentation for each order.
Pick and prepare orders for shipment by accurately selecting items using order
pickers and RF scanners.
Maintain organized stock levels through stocking, inventory counts, and updating
records in systems like Jobboss2 or MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks
safely and efficiently.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment to
support efficient shipping & receiving operations.
Package custom millwork products safely and securely for transport
Inspect finished goods for quality before shipping
Load and unload deliveries using appropriate equipment (manual or powered)
Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against purchase orders
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Communicate with production and office teams regarding shipping schedules
Skills
Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related
roles with a focus on order fulfillment.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklift, reach truck, pallet jack,
and MR (Material Requirements) systems confidently.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners,
Jobboss2 or similar ERP systems.
Strong basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring packages, and
verifying quantities.
Experience with picking & packing orders accurately in a custom and production
millwork environment.
Knowledge of packaging techniques to ensure products are shipped securely.
Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow safety procedures
diligently.
Previous experience in shipping/receiving, and packaging in a millwork
environment is a must
Experience handling fragile or high-value items is an asset
Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic computer skills for shipping/receiving documentation including international
Experience shipping cross border preferred
Forklift experience or certification is an asset
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
