The Project Manager within the Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the successful delivery of complex projects within a dynamic healthcare environment. The role supports a diverse portfolio of clinical, operational, digital/IT, and capital initiatives, including construction and redevelopment, and supports operational readiness planning for new or renovated spaces. All work is aligned with organizational strategies and patient care objectives.
This position requires strong project leadership, the ability to operate effectively in regulated healthcare settings, and experience working with interest holders (internal and external). The successful candidate will be able to align diverse interests to deliver outcomes that support patient care and organizational priorities.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is considered an asset
- Prosci Change Management certification or equivalent is considered an asset
- Five (5) to Eight (8) years of project management experience in a complex environment
- Experience delivering projects in healthcare or similarly regulated sectors
- Experience coordinating initiatives that involve physical infrastructure or operational readiness
- Demonstrated experience working with interest holders with diverse priorities and perspectives
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI/PMBOK) and proficiency with project tools (e.g., MS Project and Microsoft 365)
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads projects through the full lifecycle (initiation to close out) in accordance with the organization’s project delivery framework and recognized industry standards, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
- Coordinates initiatives involving clinical programs, operational workflows, technology solutions, physical environments, or infrastructure
- Identifies project risks and develops mitigation strategies in collaboration with impacted groups
- Develops and manages project budgets, forecasts, and resource requirements
- Ensures adherence to PMO standards, methodologies, and reporting requirements
- Leads and coordinates cross-functional project teams within a matrix environment
