Blow Mould Technician

We are presently hiring a Blow Moulding Technician for our Vaughan/Concord location near the intersection of Langstaff and Keele St. as part of our team!

If you are not a full Blow Moulding technician yet , but have experience in the plastics industry, or are a current set up operator, we may be willing to provide training.

Position Overview:
 
Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of Shift Operations and Production Process with assisting mold settings and processing control to finished part.
• Assisting with setting up machines from start to finish including processing and first off sample submission to QC Department to ensure that the appropriate bottles are produced for production
• Ensure smooth operation of the shift with shift team members (Lead Hand, Material Handlers & QC Inspector)
• Makes process and machine adjustments as required until problems are corrected.
• Assists with production problems and performs duties in a safe manner
• Adjusts weight, distribution, deflashing tooling and color concentration of bottles when out of tolerance
• Clear Jam Ups and line bottle necks  during process
• Checks bottles for quality: hardness, holes, colors, etc. and adjust process to fix defects. Responsible for troubleshooting equipment.
• Color Changing when required
• Minimize Scrap and utilization of regrind material
• Complete set-up sheets for process variations regarding tooling, moulds, parts, etc.
• Receives instructions from production schedule about what bottles are to be produced and what machines are involved
• Performs other related tasks, as required.
• Complete production reports at end of shift

Qualifications:

• 2 years of blow moulding experience in a plastic bottle manufacturing environment of HDPE, PP, LDPE & Pete preferred.
• Good communication skills
• Mechanically inclined
• Access to your own hand and power tools
• Understanding of grinders, chillers, air compressors, leak testers, spin trimmers and other auxiliary equipment associated with in the operation of a plastic bottle manufacturing facility is considered an asset
• Solid understanding of electrical, hydraulics, & pneumatics considered an asset.
• Safety shoes required

Compensation:
