MV Production Supervisor

We're looking for a passionate MV Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this is a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety protocols are met.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing process, technical knowledge of electrical products and strong people management skills.

What will you do?

  • Direct and oversee production activities related to medium voltage products.
  • Ensure that all production activities adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Lead and motivate MV production team, providing guidance, training and support.
  • Manage resources effectively, including materials, equipment and time management.
  • Identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
  • Continuously evaluate production processes and workflows for improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation, generating reports on production activities.

 

What you bring to the position: 

  • College diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Manufacturing or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of MV electrical equipment, motor control systems and assembly procedures.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g. CSA, UL, NEMA, IEC).
  • Excellent leadership, communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems. 

 

The following qualifications would be considered an asset but are not required:

  • Experience in a motor control or switchgear manufacturing industry, with specific experience in low-voltage and medium voltage systems preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or electrical schematics.
