Light & Maintanence Technician HVAC/R

Company Overview:

We are looking for an Apprentice Maintenance & Light Service Technician who is a hard working individual. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, and excellent problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and good communication skills will contribute to the overall success of this role!

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance & deep cleaning tasks on heat pump and ventilation equipment - such as checking refrigerant levels, cleaning coils, and testing system performance
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot light mechanical and electrical failures
  • Complete detailed service records accurately and on time
  • Communicate effectively with customers and administrative staff
  • Handle medium to heavy equipment up to 60 pounds
  • Ensure compliance with local and national refrigeration codes
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols
  • Report to Service Manager
  • Participate in weekly Service Department meetings

 

Requirements

  • Experience as a Refrigeration Technician (1-3 years preferred)
  • Registered HVAC-R Apprentice
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean abstract
  • Ability to use app based customer service software such as Service Fusion or Service Titan, etc.
  • Safety certifications are an asset (First Aid, Fall Arrest, WHMIS, etc)
  • Ability to work independently or as a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Understands the importance of customer service
