POSITION: MANAGER, smallTALK: Huron Perth Preschool Speech Language Program
Alliance Wide
Regular Part-time

POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, smallTALK; Huron Perth Preschool Speech and Language Program (PSL) is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, and evaluating smallTALK components relating to simplified access, common intake, transition to school, enhanced range of interventions and specific tasks associated with implementation of the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) program directives.

REPORTS TO: Director, Patient Care

DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
- A member in good standing of the College of Audiologists and Speech and Language Pathologists of Ontario

Experience:
- Recent relevant clinical and managerial experience.
- Involvement with clinical pathways, utilization, best practice guidelines/standards of practice and other Quality Improvement projects.
- Experience in community service delivery

Abilities:
- Proven management skills including financial, human resources, quality improvement, change management, evaluation, planning and utilization
- Proven flexibility and a high level of initiative
- Demonstrated leadership, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience with building working relationships with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, community partners and involvement with integration projects
- Ability to set priorities and work independently
- Proven interpersonal, interviewing, counseling and conflict management/resolution skills
- Demonstrated commitment to patient and staff safety and exemplary patient/customer experience
- Demonstrated analytical skills in collection and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data
- Effective presentation skills
- Computer skills, particularly Meditech, MS Office, social media and/or other software
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical Demands:
- The work environment is primarily office based; travelling to meetings in Huron and Perth Counties and in southwestern Ontario
