2nd Year Apprentice Manual Milling Machinist

Duties Include:

• Producing machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Our Quality Control expects that you measure, examine and inspect completed parts on an ongoing basis to ensure job is within tolerance.
• Properly utilize metal cutting techniques and principals.
• Operation and set up of machines used to perform repetitive machining operations is required.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, charts, and tables.
• Experience in making fittings/jigs and assembling parts, calculating dimensions, and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipers.
• Ability to quickly and easily adapt to complex and/or unconventional projects that require precision to meet tight scheduling and deadlines.
