Manager, Diagnostic Imaging/PACS Administrator

We are a 52-bed Hospital that offers an extensive range of services including a complete range of obstetrical care, a 24-hour Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical Services, Complex Continuing Care, and a growing Perioperative Program.

 

The Opportunity:

  • Accountable for overall efficient and effective departmental planning, direction, control, coordination, and evaluation.
  • Providie key influence in the development of departmental goals and objectives.
  • The incumbent will plan, implement, manage and monitor all aspects of departmental financial, human, equipment, and information systems (PACS) and participate in visioning for future Diagnostic services including CT.
  • The incumbent will maximize the efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and safety of Diagnostic Imaging operations.
  • Leading Diagnostic Imaging by creating and maintaining positive interdepartmental relationships that serve to enhance operations and patient care.

 

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • This position requires an individual who is currently registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario and has at least five (5) years of experience performing a variety of medical imaging procedures in one or more modalities.
  • Ideally, you will have at least one (1) year of experience as a Manager in a hospital-based Diagnostic Imaging department and may also possess formal Management training.
  • Proven leadership, and strong interpersonal and communication skills will be necessary for success in this role.
  •  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills will also assist you in the ability to perform this role with minimal supervision.
  • Proven experience in leading and implementing projects within Diagnostic Services including CT, is preferred.
  •  Demonstrated experience with a PACS system infrastructure and experience with system maintenance.
  • Willingness to work additional hours to ensure timely implementation of departmental projects.
