Architectural Designer/Drafter

Mitrex/Cladify (part of GCAT Group), developers of unique cladding and Building Integrated Photo Voltaic solutions for the construction industry, is looking for a full-time Architectural Designer/Drafter with AutoCAD experience to design facades and architectural cladding systems for high-rise buildings and other large structures.

YOU...

• have completed university/college degree in Architecture
• have working knowledge and experience in façade design and engineering for architectural building systems
• have strong hands-on experience with 2D/3D AutoCAD and Revit® BIM (Building Information Modelling) software 

NICE TO HAVE (but not mandatory)

• Experience with Rhino 3D, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign Software 
• Experience with multi-residential/commercial buildings 
• Familiarity with Ontario building codes

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Prepare construction drawings of varying complexity on high-rise residential, commercial and institutional projects
• Prepare shop drawings and shop tickets of facades for the production line
• Communicate with clients, project managers, and installation teams
• Preparation of the BOM and materials
