We are currently seeking an individual to fill the following full time, salary position.

Location: North Bay, ON
Rotation: Monday to Friday
Work Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., one (1) hour lunch

Job Description
The Financial Controller is the senior financial manager responsible for all financial accounting and related functions as well as administration processes. This includes all Canadian projects as well as overseas projects managed by Canadian operations management. The Financial Controller is responsible for the management of the full range of budgeting/forecasting, project accounting, and financial accounting and reporting from data entry to preparation of financial statements. Duties will focus on ensuring proper financial reporting, internal controls, financial analysis and reporting, both to local management and the holding company management. Some hands on accounting and statement preparation will be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the following functions:
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements
Analyze and report on statement results
Ensure proper internal controls are in place and functioning
Develop, support and/or champion business process automation initiatives
Work closely with operations management so as to be able to:
Liaise with financial managers at subsidiary companies
Requirements
Education
Required: Accounting designation; CA, CMA or CPA
Preferred: MBA, HBA or other business accreditation
Experience
Required: Minimum five years management experience in a medium or large company
Experience in organizations undergoing change or rapid growth
Experience in a projects based environment
Experience working in projects in multi-country operations
Experience working in an ERP environment
Preferred: Experience in working in a JDE environment
Experience working with foreign currencies

- General accounting including preparation of management and financial statements

Ensure proper internal controls are in place and functioning
Develop, support and/or champion business process automation initiatives
Work closely with operations management so as to be able to:
- Prepare timely budgets and forecasts
- Analyze and explain results
- Ensure best practices in managing data requirements and integrity, particularly with project controls personnel
Liaise with financial managers at subsidiary companies

- Ability to conduct and attend presentations
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computers & peripherals
- Overtime as required
- Lifting or moving up to 10 lbs. may be required
