We are centrally located in Prince George, BC, an affordable, growing community of about 83,000. Prince George has a very well developed infrastructure including: a new and progressive university, numerous leisure and sporting facilities and an international airport.

We are currently looking for an Experienced Certified Fabricator for our Prince George fabrication & machine shop.

Requirements:

The qualified candidate will be able to work well with our team and contribute to a positive work environment.


General Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Candidates should have an minimum 3 years of experience and carry an IP “Red Seal”;
• Good working knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metallurgy, layout and machine procedures;
• Proficient with reading blueprints and engineering drawings to assess materials needed, and plan the sequence of tasks;
• Create and construct patterns and guides as templates for metal cutting;
• Operate light machinery, including: brake presses, shears, cutting torches, grinders;
• Layout reference points and patterns on heavy metals according to the templates/blueprints;
• Assemble, fit and weld metal sections and plates to create complete units or subunits;
• Install fabricated components in the final product;
• Excellent oral & written communication skills.
