The purpose of the job is to oversee the shipping and receiving functions and maintain department efficiencies.  Ensuring planning, organizing, product flow and cost effective procedures are applied.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties

• Comply with safety rules and regulations specifically within the Shipping and Receiving Departments, including adherence to all Company Health and Safety policies, OHSA and achieving the required certifications for all motorized forklifts, pallet jack operators and Drivers.
• Contribute to the profitability and efficiency of the shipping and receiving departments while maintaining a high level of customer service excellence.
• Work toward increasing productivity by effective department supervision, forecasting product flow, timeline adherence for shipping
• Accountable for the accurate, timely and efficient delivery of all Customer orders and all orders that will be delivered by outside transport.
• Interact with other Supervisors with effective and timely communication
• Reports statistical information as required to Management
• Ensure that all equipment is safe to operate at all times
• Comply with all Food Safety and HACCP regulations
• Contributes and accountable for the general cleanliness of the shipping and receiving departments
• Participating in monthly inventory as required.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

Education Required:            High School, Post Secondary an asset
Other Education/Certification/Training preferred: WHMIS, Health and Safety, Fork Lift Training (high reach and walkie), First Aid training

Work Experience Requirements
 
Work Experience required: 1-3 years
Job related experience required:     knowledge of produce, shipping/receiving

Technical Requirements:

Software:       Basic MS Office knowledge

Shift time :6.00am till 3.00pm


Salary 38k to 42k
