Our organization a provider of trucking transportation services across North America is looking to immediately fill the position of Driver Recruitment. This position will work directly with the terminal managers to identify and fill driver requirements.
Responsibilities
- Identify divisional requirements
- Work with Operations Manager on recruitment advertising and marketing ideas
- Prepare and publish notices to attract potential drivers
- Reviewing applications
- Conduct Interviews
- Perform reference checks
- Arrange for road test, drug and medical testing
- Work with Safety Manager to ensure driver requirements are complete
Essential Skills
- Must have transportation experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in computers required
- The ability to work independently

The trailer equipment is very diversified including container chassis, flat decks, dry vans, and pneumatic trailers. Most of the maintenance on the trailing equipment is done in-house by certified mechanics in our Langley and Calgary terminals. The high ratio of trailers to power units enables Shadow Lines Transportation Group to take on large and equipment intensive contracts.
Shadow Lines Transportation Group has its head office in Langley, BC on a 7-acre site in Port Kells with 12,000 square feet of office space, and a six bay shop. The company operates its container fleet of 115 trucks from this terminal, transporting containers to and from all local Vancouver Ports and back and forth between Vancouver and the deep-sea ports of Seattle and Tacoma. Also based out of our Langley facility is our Logistics Solutions and Heavy Haul/Line haul Divisions. These divisions specialize in hauling all types of TL and LTL freight on various types of equipment to every point in Canada, the USA and Mexico, also specializing in overseas shipments including ocean and airfreight.
