Our client is a Canadian management consulting, technology service and outsourcing corporation. They have extensive experience and expertise in many disciplines within the IT industry. Position Overview
We have an immediate requirement for a Senior Consultant/Architect/Engineer role at the company to lead and support extensive projects with an existing and long-term client. The company is looking for a well-rounded individual who knows how to work well with a team and his highly customer service focused. This role requires significant engineering expertise, a highly disciplined work ethic, an aptitude for organizational navigation to ensure timely completion of deliverables, forward technological thinking and the ability to solve problems independently and on the fly. It is critical that the candidate be able to run end to end assessment, design and architecture and implementation projects. Assessment output will be produced by the candidate and often implemented by the same individual. Assessment output considers technical, business and financial ramifications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory. Technical experience and certifications required will be VMware, SAN/NAS, Microsoft, Past experience working in successful, high growth organizations will be a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day work in client environments,
- Communicate easily with senior client IT personnel, front-line client IT personnel and coworkers.
- Providing best practices and valuable guidance to clients on various technology platforms,.
- Hands-on VMware design, implementation and conversion projects.
- Hands-on SAN/NAS/Unified Storage deployments.
- Work within various MS Server platforms and related MS product deployments.
- Develop professional client environment documentation.
- Deploy archiving, back-up and other related products,
- Potentially assist/lead in designing and implementing technical disaster recovery plans.
- Assist in developing technical documentation.
- Work aggressively to meet pre-determined project deadlines and benchmarks.
- Schedule 1:1 meetings on a weekly basis with manager.

Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with SAN, NAS design, implementation and large data centre environments.
- Strong experience with VMware design, implementation, administration and management.
- Strong experience with implementing/supporting/troubleshooting EMC Networker technologies.
- Strong experience with implementing/supporting/troubleshooting Microsoft technologies.
- Strong experience and understanding of servers, tape library, switches, routers and firewalls.
- Minimum 5 years technical and infrastructure experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in storage infrastructure, virtualization, Microsoft fields.

Educational Requirements:
- Post Secondary Business or Computing Science degree/diploma (or equivalent work experience).
- Current MCITP (MCSE)
- VMware VCP4 or VCP5
- SAN Certifications.
