Quality Technician

Located in Petersburg, Ontario and we’re looking for a Quality Technician to join our growing team.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Ensure 100% compliance with daily inspections of incoming raw materials. This involves sampling and moisture testing four to fifteen loads a day.
- Ensure 100% compliance with daily inspections of finished products. This involves retaining samples of one to eight truck loads a day.
- Ensure 100% compliance with daily equipment inspections. This involves auditing the six machines not limited to the loader and bulldozer each day at the start of the morning shift.
- Ensure 100% compliance with truck drivers daily site photos tracking. This involves auditing four to eight loads a day of pictures in the drivers email folder.
- Ensure weekly and monthly sanitation schedule compliance. This activity consists of 18 tasks as outlined by the Director of Quality in the Sanitation Schedule binder.
- Each Monday every week ensure mix sample and bag sent to Corporate QC in Boucherville for testing.
- Ensure open Corrective action Reports are completed within a month of issuance. This entails working with the Assistant Plant Manager to complete that come up and conducting any necessary problem-solving activities to ensure completion.
- Annually Review and update all procedures dealing with quality with director of Quality
- In a timely manner process all requests for customer samples.
- Be part of the HACCP Team.
Qualifications :
- Technical degree in Biotechnology or Process Technology and Food Quality
- Knowledge of quality standards (HACCP) and technologies
- Use and maintain control and methodological equipment
- Respect for internal procedures
- Participate in the application of the HACCP Feedassure principles
- Communicate, negotiate with different interlocutors
- Rigorous, meticulous, and precise
- Analyze and synthesize a lot of technical and organizational information

Other benefits: Annual performance-based bonus up to 5% of the eligible employee’s base salary.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $18.00-22.00$ per hour
