About this Position
This position reports to the Drivers Manager / Operations and President and will be liaising between Maintenance, Safety Compliance, and the owners. Be responsible for all scheduling and pre-planning loads on a team

Duties and Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate all delivery activities to meet the requirements of the customer(s). The job requires a refined set of personnel, logistical and technological skills in order to accomplish 100% customer service. The Dispatcher environment includes advanced computer and communication technology to assimilate and distribute delivery orders to the drivers. Success in the Dispatch job requires a unique blend of personal motivation and optimal work distribution to achieve the highest return for the Company. Hours to be 6:30 am until 4pm daily or until the job is done - Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

. Communicating load assignments to drivers on a timely basis
. Key customer orders in system
. Mark loads as picked up, delivered, dropped
. Maintain assignments of loads to drivers
. Receive driver PODs and key POD information in Fleet Manager Dispatch Program
. Main point person for phone calls/ emails / Push to talk calls from drivers and from customers
. Handle future load requests from customers
. Transfer calls that impact current day to dispatch or take information
. Maintain dispatch computer fully with times and
. Coordination of driver emails, including reviewing and inputting accurate POD information
. Ensure trailers reflect appropriate status (acquired, loaded, dropped, delivered) and update customers
. Coordination of all permits for oversized loads
. Completion and submittal of appropriate forms to government agencies with enough lead time to allow for approval
. Communication with government agency to ensure forms are on track for approval
. Receipt of forms and preparation for load by assembling driver packet
. Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

. MUST HAVE experience and Transport Dispatch and Flatbed experience GTA and knowledge of the Southwestern Ontario locations
. Fleet Manager by Trans plus and Isaac E logs and Telematics
